novel coronavirus (COVID-19) response

The Amsterdam Coffee Festival is closely monitoring the evolution of the Coronavirus situation and following local government and World Health Organization advice. At this point, The Amsterdam Coffee Festival will take place as planned from 13 - 15 March 2020.

We are working in close partnership with the host venue, local partners and health and safety officers to ensure the safe and smooth delivery of our operations and experience for all event exhibitors, participants and visitors. Hand sanitation points will be in place throughout the event and we kindly ask all visitors to adhere to the following important health and safety guidelines:

1 / Please do not attend The Amsterdam Coffee Festival, and seek medical advice, if any of the following apply to you*:

- You think you may have Coronavirus
- In the last 14 days, you have been experiencing a fever (38°C or more) and respiratory symptoms (coughing or shortness of breath), and have been to one of the following countries or areas with a high risk of the virus: Cambodia; China; Hong Kong; Iran; Italy; Japan; Laos; Macau; Malaysia; Myanmar (Burma); Singapore; South Korea; Taiwan; Tenerife (only the H10 Costa Adeje Palace Hotel); Thailand; Vietnam
- You have been in close contact with someone with Coronavirus

*If any of the above apply to you, you should also seek medical advice and / or help using your local online or telephone service.

Please note, The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a negative travel advisory for the province of Hubei. Travel advice for the rest of China is to avoid all but essential travel. The advice for Northern-Italy is also to avoid all non-essential travel. For the latest travel advice please check the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

2 / What can I do to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19)?

The most important measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus are very simple and apply to all viruses that can cause flu and colds. It is important to follow them at all times - before, during and after the event:

- Wash your hands with soap and water often, for at least 20 seconds
- Always wash your hands when you get home or into work
- Use hand sanitize gel if soap and water are unavailable
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when coughing or sneezing
- Put used tissues in the garbage straight away and wash your hands afterwards
- Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
