The Dutch specialty coffee avant-garde has been linking the slogan Make Coffee Better™ to the American espresso machine maker Slayer, founded in 2007.

At Naked Espresso's bar, which opened in the centre of Amsterdam early 2018 and now has a second café on the Dam Square, there is a three-group Slayer Steam. "Baristas come from all over to test the machine," told owner Niels van Stek to koffieTcacao magazine after the opening. "The espresso machine produces extremely hot and dry steam, which makes the milk foam taste sweeter. Coffees with milk are therefore our specialty."

Also at FUKU, the espresso bar of triple barista champion Lex Wenneker who will compete in the Dutch Brewers Cup this year, there is a Slayer V3 on the black lacquered bar next to the rare La Marzocco Mistral. "Sleek design and technically more ingenious", says Lex who uses both machines depending on which beans customers choose and how he wants to prepare the drink. This Slayer provides a more accurate pre-infusion function. "It allows the coffee to soak longer. More aromas are then released before the water is forced through the portafilter under pressure," explains Lex.

Since 2019, Yongo Espresso has taken on the task to be the official importer of the revolutionary machines for The Netherlands. During ACF, the Roast Masters™ participants will work their magic on the Slayer Steam LP. With two settings per group, advanced volumetrics, classic pump-controlled extraction, a very spacious work surface and not to forget a sleek, polished stainless steel housing with unmistakable winged design, it's no surprise that the Steam LP is known as the dream machine.

On the Slayer stand, Coffee Masters™ London 2019 winner and Slayer fan Rob Clarijs will work behind the Slayer Single Espresso Group and the Steam LPx for three days.  Badeta Coffee Roasters from Amsterdamse Pijp and the love child of Ben Morrow and Esther Maasdam, Manhattan Coffee Roasters will join him.
