Sustainability in the Coffee Sector
In association with SCAE NL and KNVKT, Marc Kluijver from koffieTcacao magazine will be moderating a Q&A session on sustainability in the Lab at the Amsterdam Coffee Festival.
More than 25 million coffee farmers depend on coffee as their main source of income. Not only that, but the coffee industry also contributes significantly to improving the infrastructure in developing countries.

Therefore the relationship between coffee producers and everyone else involved in the coffee supply chain is essential for sustainable development.

In association with SCAE NL and KNVKT, Marc Kluijver from koffieTcacao magazine will be moderating a Q&A session on sustainability in the first of Friday’s Lab session at the Amsterdam Coffee Festival.

Come armed with your own questions and hear from industry- and civil society experts, about how the coffee industry is investing in sustainability throughout the entire value chain; from tree to cup.

Find out how each individual in the coffee chain can help to make a difference to sustainability and what needs to be done to further improve the coffee industry.

The Q&A will also focus on the role of certification initiatives, (e.g. Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ Certified, etc.), direct trade and other tools and resources.
