Here's why you should attend The Amsterdam Coffee Festival

Returning for its 3rd year, The Amsterdam Coffee Festival is the Benelux’s largest coffee and artisan food event that celebrates Amsterdam and the surrounding area’s vibrant coffee culture.

Designed to showcase the industry’s finest artisan coffee roasters, independent coffee shops and talented baristas, this year’s event will feature one industry day at the Westergasfabriek on the 18 March, followed by two days opened to the general public 19-20 March 2016.

Here's just a few reasons why those in the industry should attend...

Experience exceptional coffee

The Amsterdam Coffee Festival sees some of the world’s best roasters come together under one roof, meaning you can experience the very best coffee the industry has to offer. Illy, Bocca Coffee, Single Estate, Blommers Coffee Roasters, ERNST Kaffeeroster, BABO Coffee, and Screaming Beans are just a few of the top-notch roasters presenting their seasonal single origin coffees and blends at the festival.

Stooker will yet again be present at the festival with its Stooker Roasting Co. & Stooker Coffee Academy. As well as showcasing their complete selection of espresso beans on Europe's very first Synesso HydraMVP, they will also be working with Espressionado to bring you hand-brewed filter-quality coffee in the shape of a batch-brewer — all thanks to the introduction of the 3TEMP Hipster.

Try the latest equipment and technologies

From Bonavita’s brewing equipment to BRITA’s water filtration, this year’s festival will showcase the most advanced technology on the market. Definitely one to look out for is the Canadiano – carved out of Cherry, Walnut, Ash and White Oak, the Canadiano is the Canadian pour-over method of brewing coffee in a block of wood. Designed to reduce waste and lower the environmental impact, it boasts a durable metal filter in place of the paper filters that similar pour-over techniques use.

Be entertained

The Amsterdam Coffee Festival wouldn’t be a festival without a little party, so come and be entertained by various musicians whilst sipping on one of Tia’s Maria’s cocktails at The Espresso Martini Bar.
Feeling peckish? Head over to the ACF’s VIP Suite which will play host to Scandinavian Embassy’s pop-up restaurant.

Ever wondered what the combination of chilled espresso and oysters tastes like? Now is your chance to find out as Head Chef Rikard Andersson has created a three-course coffee and food pairing experience that will both challenge and delight your taste buds.

Ludovic Rossignol, one of the founders of The Amsterdam Coffee Festival says: 'Coffee is becoming a lifestyle – seductive and stylish, yet technical. The ‘fourth wave’ or the science of coffee is injecting a new dimension to how coffee is served in cafes, enjoyed at home, or in the office. The richness and breadth of coffee experiences offered at the festival, we hope, will stir your senses and elevate coffee standards across Amsterdam and beyond.'
